Connect Oria to Claude and ChatGPT
Oria turns a conversation into a finished, editable PowerPoint deck. Add it once as a connector and you can build, review, revise and export decks without leaving the chat.
Server address
This is the only address you need. It is the same for every user.
https://api.oria.one/mcpBefore you start
- An Oria account. Sign-in is by a one-time code sent to your work email, so no password is needed.
- Tokens on your company balance. Generation and export both consume tokens, and with an empty balance Oria returns an error instead of a deck. Balances are managed in the Oria portal.
- A plan that supports connectors. In Claude that means Pro, Max, Team or Enterprise; in ChatGPT, a plan on which the Oria app is available to you.
Add Oria to Claude
- 1Open Settings and then Connectors in Claude, on the web or in the desktop app.
- 2Choose Add custom connector and paste
https://api.oria.one/mcp. - 3A browser window opens on the Oria sign-in page. Enter your work email and Oria sends you a six-digit code, usually within a few seconds.
- 4Enter the code and approve access. Claude shows Oria as connected, and the session refreshes on its own from then on.
To disconnect, use the Disconnect button on the connector in Claude. That revokes the access Oria was granted.
Add Oria to ChatGPT
- 1Open Settings, then Apps & Connectors in ChatGPT.
- 2Add Oria. If you are connecting the server directly rather than from the directory, paste
https://api.oria.one/mcp. - 3Sign in with the same email-code flow, then approve access. Oria then appears in the message composer.
Try it
Ask in plain language. Oria works through the deck with you rather than producing everything at once.
“Build a 5-slide investor update on Q3: ARR up 40% to $2.1m, churn down to 2.1%, two enterprise logos signed. Use our corporate reference set.”
Oria asks for anything missing, proposes an outline, waits for your approval, then generates.
“Turn these interview notes into a 10-slide steering-committee pack with an executive summary, findings, and a now / next / later roadmap.”
Paste or attach the notes in the same message. Oria only uses what you give it and will not invent figures.
“On slide 3, replace the bar chart with a waterfall and shorten the headline.”
Only slide 3 is regenerated. The rest of the deck is untouched.
“The preview looks good. Export it as PowerPoint.”
Export runs only after you have seen a PDF preview and confirmed it.
How a deck gets built
- 1You describe the deck. Oria asks about content, slide count, must-have data, and which of your saved styles to use.
- 2Oria proposes an outline and waits. Nothing is generated until you approve it.
- 3Slides are rendered, which takes a few minutes for a typical deck. Progress is reported as it goes.
- 4You get a PDF preview first, always. Review it and ask for changes in plain language; only the slides you name are regenerated.
- 5When you are happy, Oria exports the final .pptx. Export takes roughly one to three minutes per slide.
What Oria can do in your account
These are the tools the connector exposes, and what each one touches.
| Tool | What it does | Access |
|---|---|---|
| Get slide-writing guide | Returns the Oria slide-writing standard so the assistant drafts slides to the right format. | Reads |
| Reference sets | Lists your saved styles, selects one for the deck, and opens the style gallery in your browser so you can edit a style there. | Reads |
| Start a presentation | Opens a new presentation project and collects the requirements Oria needs before slides can be generated. | Reads |
| Generate slides | Sends approved slide descriptions to Oria and starts rendering. Returns immediately; rendering continues in the background. | Writes |
| Check progress | Reports how far generation has got, and returns slide thumbnails once they are ready. | Reads |
| Build PDF preview | Assembles the finished slides into a PDF you can download and review before exporting. | Writes |
| Revise slides | Applies your change notes to specific slides. Slides are updated in place, so the previous version of a revised slide is replaced. | Writes |
| Export PPTX | Produces the final editable .pptx and returns a download link. | Writes |
Your brand style
Reference sets store your slide colours and house style rules once and apply them to every deck, so output matches your company template instead of needing a manual reformat. Ask Oria which styles you have, pick one for the deck, or ask it to open the style gallery, where you can edit a style in your browser. Gallery links are private to you, expire, and can be revoked.
Access, data and security
- Oria connects over OAuth 2.1. You authorise it once, and you can revoke that access at any time from the connector settings in Claude or ChatGPT.
- Oria receives the slide instructions you approve and the content you provide for the deck. It does not read your wider chat history.
- Generated decks and previews are stored so you can download them, and are billed against your company balance.
- Full detail is in the privacy policy and the terms of use.
Good to know
- A PDF preview is always produced before an export. Asking for the .pptx before you have approved a preview returns an error rather than a file.
- Revisions work on slides that already rendered. A slide that failed to generate is rebuilt rather than revised.
- Oria writes each slide from its own description alone, so anything that must appear on a slide needs to be stated for that slide.
- Exports are real .pptx files: native shapes, text boxes and charts, all editable.
