Connect to Claude

Add Oria to Claude as a custom connector, sign in and check that it works

This adds Oria to Claude as a connector, so you can plan, build, preview, revise and export editable PowerPoint decks without leaving the chat. You set it up once, and from then on Claude calls Oria's tools for you.

Before you start

You don't need an API key or a password. Oria signs you in with a one-time code sent to your email.

  • An Oria account with an active plan. A trial counts, and so does a seat on a team account. If you don't have an account yet, you can sign up while you connect.
  • A Claude plan that allows custom connectors. Claude offers them on all its plans, but the Free plan is limited to one. See Claude's guide to custom connectors.

This is the Oria server address. It's the same for everyone:

Add Oria in Claude

  1. Open Customize

    In Claude, click Customize in the left sidebar.

  2. Add a custom connector

    Open Connectors, click Add, then choose Add custom connector.

  3. Name it and paste the URL

    Enter Oria as the name, paste https://api.oria.one/mcp as the URL, then click Add. You don't need an OAuth client ID or secret, so leave the advanced settings empty.

  4. Click Connect

    On the Oria connector page, click Connect. An Oria sign-in window opens in your browser.

  5. Sign in with your email

    Enter the email you use for Oria. We email you a 6-digit code: type it in within 10 minutes, and check your spam folder if it hasn't arrived. If your account doesn't have an active plan yet, Oria asks you to choose one before it finishes connecting.

  6. Choose your tool permissions

    Back in Claude, Oria shows as connected. We recommend setting its tool permissions to Always allow, so Claude doesn't stop to ask for approval at every step of a deck. If you'd rather confirm each action, including deleting a saved style, keep approvals on.

Connect from your phone

The Claude mobile app can't add connectors, so start in a mobile browser:

  1. Open claude.ai in Safari or Chrome
  2. Open the sidebar, tap your account name, then tap Settings
  3. Swipe across the tabs to Connectors, tap Add, then choose Add custom connector
  4. Enter Oria as the name, paste https://api.oria.one/mcp, then tap Add
  5. Tap Connect and sign in with your email and the 6-digit code

Once Oria is connected, you can use it in the Claude mobile app as well.

Check that it works

Open Customize > Connectors and select Oria. A working connector shows as connected and lists Oria's tools, such as generating slides, building a PDF preview and exporting an editable PPTX.

You can also test it in chat. Ask Claude:

What's my Oria token balance?

Checking your balance costs no tokens. If Claude replies with your balance and plan, you're connected. If it stalls or shows an error, see the FAQ.

Disconnect Oria

To remove Oria's access, open the Oria connector in Claude and click Disconnect. Your Oria account, saved styles and balance stay as they are, and you can connect again at any time.
