Styles and brand

A style is your saved company look. Oria also calls it a reference set. Your active style shapes every slide Oria builds, in Claude, ChatGPT and the PowerPoint add-in.

What a style includes

• Colours: the colours Oria uses on your slides
• Reference designs: up to four example slides that guide layout and visual feel (they're examples, not slides added to your deck)
• Design description: the fonts, spacing and overall feel, in your own words
• PowerPoint template (optional): a cover slide and a main slide from your own PowerPoint, whose background, fonts and logos Oria reuses

Company styles and your own

• Company styles, such as Oria's default style, are shared across your company's Oria account: you can use them, but you can't edit or delete them
• Your own styles are the ones you create, and you can rename, edit or delete them

Set up a style from your slides

The quickest way to capture your brand is to let Oria read slides you already have. You start in Claude or ChatGPT.

1. Ask for a setup link

   Ask Oria to set up your company style, for example:

   Set up our company style in Oria from our PowerPoint template

   You get a private link to a setup page. Files can't be sent through the chat, so the upload happens there.

2. Upload your slides

   Open the link in your browser. On Teach Oria your style, drop in or choose a PowerPoint, a PDF, or PNG or JPG images of slides that show your look, then click Continue. Keep the tab open while Oria learns your style.

3. Review what Oria found

   Give the style a name, then check each section:

   • Colours: add or remove colours
   • Reference designs: keep, replace or add up to four examples
   • PowerPoint template: check the Cover slide and Main slide Oria took from your PowerPoint
   • Design description: add any guidance in your own words
4. Go back to the chat

   Once every section is complete, the page saves your style and confirms it's set up. Return to Claude or ChatGPT: the new style is now your active style.

Other ways to create or change a style

• Create one in the chat: ask Claude or ChatGPT for a new style with a name, your brand colours and a short description of the look
• Add a PowerPoint template: ask for a template upload link and upload a .pptx containing the one slide you want as the template (it replaces the style's current template)
• Edit in your style gallery: ask Oria to open your style gallery, a private link where you can change reference images and the design description
• Create one in PowerPoint: in the add-in, open Reference Style under Slide style, click Set new design style, then add a name, a Color palette, a Design instruction and reference images

Choose your active style

One style is active at a time, and it's stored in your Oria account, so Claude, ChatGPT and the PowerPoint add-in all use the same one:

• In Claude or ChatGPT, ask which Oria styles you have and which one to use
• In the add-in, open Reference Style under Slide style and click a style to make it Active

A style you set up in Claude or ChatGPT becomes active straight away, which makes it your default in the add-in too. If you clear the choice, Oria goes back to its default styling.

Rename or delete a style

• In Claude or ChatGPT, ask Oria to rename a style or change its colours or description, or to delete it
• In the add-in, use the edit and delete icons next to the style in Reference Style
• Deleting a style is permanent, and if it was your active style, Oria goes back to its default styling

Good to know

• Password-protected files can't be used for style setup
• Decks with macros or ActiveX controls are rejected, so save them as a macro-free .pptx first
• If a deck links to workbooks outside it, break those links or paste the charts as pictures before uploading
• A style needs a PowerPoint template to produce a cover slide; without one, decks start with a content slide
• Setup, template and gallery links are private and expire, so if one stops working, ask Oria for a new link
