FAQ

Look for the Oria button on the Home tab. If it isn't there:

• Make sure PowerPoint is signed in with the Microsoft account you used to get Oria
• Select Add-ins on the Home tab, then More Add-ins, and look for Oria on the My Add-ins tab (in older versions, Insert > My Add-ins)
• Update PowerPoint, because Oria needs a recent version of PowerPoint for Microsoft 365
• If your admin deployed Oria for your organization, give it some time to appear

If Oria still doesn't show up, install it again or contact support.

Close the panel and click Oria on the Home tab again. If that doesn't help, restart PowerPoint. In PowerPoint on the web, reload the browser tab.

Still blank on Windows? Clear the add-in cache: go to File > Options > Trust Center > Trust Center Settings > Trusted Add-in Catalogs, select Next time Office starts, clear all previously-started web add-ins cache, then restart PowerPoint. On a company network, ask IT to check that plugin.oria.one and api.oria.one aren't blocked.

Some companies decide which add-ins people can install. If you can't add Oria yourself, ask your Microsoft 365 admin to deploy it from Integrated apps in the Microsoft 365 admin center, or to allow it for your account. Once it's deployed, Oria appears in PowerPoint without you installing it. If Oria installs but never finishes loading, ask IT to allow plugin.oria.one and api.oria.one.

Oria signs you in inside its own panel with an email code, so there's no pop-up window to allow. Once you're in, it keeps you signed in on that computer across PowerPoint windows. You'll need a new code after you click Log Out or Sign out of all devices, or when your session expires. If Oria asks for a code every time you open it, contact support with the email on your Oria account.

Check your spam folder, and check the email address shown above the code field (click Change to fix it). You can ask for a new code with Resend code once the 30-second timer ends. If Oria says the code has expired, or that there were too many wrong attempts, request a new code. If it says "Too many requests", wait a few minutes before trying again.

Oria works in PowerPoint for Microsoft 365 on Windows and Mac, and in PowerPoint on the web. For full support, use Version 2504 (build 16.0.18730.20030) or later on Windows, or version 16.96 or later on Mac. On an older build, Oria shows a warning that your PowerPoint version is outdated. One-time-purchase versions of Office (2016, 2019 and 2021) aren't supported, and Oria isn't available on iPad, iPhone or Android. To check your version on Windows, open File > Account.

Yes. Install it the same way as on Windows, from Microsoft Marketplace or from Add-ins in PowerPoint. Slides come out fully editable, just like on Windows. Use PowerPoint for Mac version 16.96 or later. To update, choose Help > Check for Updates in PowerPoint.

Yes, with one limit: in PowerPoint on the web, Oria adds your chosen design to the current slide as a picture, not as editable shapes. For editable slides, open the same presentation in the PowerPoint desktop app and sign in to Oria there. The guided tour also needs the desktop app.

You don't need to. Oria runs from Oria's servers, so you get the latest version automatically the next time you open the panel. What you do need to keep current is PowerPoint itself. On Windows, choose File > Account > Update Options > Update Now. On Mac, choose Help > Check for Updates.

Not in the PowerPoint desktop app. Apply Design adds the design as a new slide right after the one you started from, and your original slide stays as it was. Keep whichever version you prefer and delete the other. In PowerPoint on the web, the design is placed on top of your current slide as a picture.

Oria also saves a small setting in the presentation so that its panel opens automatically the next time you open the file.

Yes. While Oria says "Please stay on this slide", stay where you are. Once it says "You can use Oria on other slides in parallel", switch to any other slide and run Oria there too. Each slide keeps its own progress, so you can come back and pick a design when it's ready.

Select Add-ins on the Home tab, then More Add-ins, and open the My Add-ins tab (in older versions, Insert > My Add-ins). Open the ... menu next to Oria and choose Remove. If your admin deployed Oria for you, you may need them to remove it. Removing the add-in doesn't close your Oria account, and slides you've already made stay in your presentations.

In Claude, open Customize > Connectors, select Oria, click Disconnect, then click Connect and sign in again. If that doesn't help, remove the connector and add it again with the URL https://api.oria.one/mcp. If it still fails, contact support with the email on your Oria account and roughly when it happened.

Yes. Oria works in Claude on the web, in the Claude desktop app and in the Claude mobile app. You add the connector from the web or the desktop app, because the Claude mobile app has no connector settings. On a phone, open claude.ai in Safari or Chrome to add it. Once it's connected, you can use Oria in the mobile app too.

Claude's menus change often, so look under Customize > Connectors first. On the Free plan, Claude allows only one custom connector. On a Team or Enterprise plan, an owner adds custom connectors under Organization settings > Connectors, and you then click Connect on Oria in your own connector list. If you're still stuck, send us a screenshot of what you see and we'll reply with the current steps.

The code usually arrives within seconds, so check your spam folder first. Oria sends at most three codes to one email address in 15 minutes, so if you've asked several times, wait a few minutes before trying again. If your company uses Oria through a team account that only admits invited people, no code is sent until your admin adds you. If none of this applies, contact support with the email you're signing in with.

Codes expire after 10 minutes, and five wrong codes lock that sign-in. Close the window, go back to Claude and click Connect on the Oria connector to start a fresh sign-in.

Connecting needs an Oria account with an active plan (a trial counts) or a seat on a team account. Your email is already verified at this point: click Continue to plans, choose a plan, and the connection finishes. If your account needs a billing update instead, resolve the payment in your Oria account, then click Continue connecting. See Billing and usage for plan details.

In Claude, open Customize > Connectors and select Oria. A working connector shows as connected and lists Oria's tools. You can also ask Claude "What's my Oria token balance?", which costs no tokens. If it answers with your balance, you're connected. Full walkthrough: Connect to Claude.

On the Claude side, a plan that allows custom connectors (the Free plan allows one). On the Oria side, an active plan, a trial, or a seat on a team account. Slide generation, revisions and PowerPoint export use tokens from your Oria balance. See Billing and usage.

Claude can ask for approval each time it uses a connector's tools. To stop the prompts, open Customize > Connectors, select Oria and set its tool permissions to Always allow.

Claude keeps the list of tools it saw when you connected. When Oria updates its tools, an older connection can offer tools that are gone. Open the Oria connector, click Disconnect, then Connect and sign in again. Your saved styles and balance aren't affected.

Open the Oria connector in Claude and click Disconnect. This removes the access you granted Oria. Your Oria account, styles and balance stay as they are, and you can connect again at any time.

A typical deck takes a few minutes to generate, and Claude reports progress as the slides come in. You always get a PDF preview first. Once you approve it, exporting the editable PowerPoint takes roughly one to three minutes per slide.

Slides keep rendering on Oria's side even if the chat goes quiet. Each progress check waits up to 25 seconds, and Claude should keep checking until every slide is done. If it stops early, ask Claude to check the progress of your Oria deck again. If generation keeps failing, contact support with the email on your Oria account and roughly when it happened.

Oria always builds a PDF preview first so you can review the deck and ask for changes in plain language. Claude exports the editable PowerPoint only after you've reviewed that preview and said you're happy with it.

Yes. Tell Claude what to change on which slide, for example "On slide 3, shorten the headline". Oria revises only the slides you name and replaces them in place, so the rest of the deck stays as it is. A slide that failed to generate can't be revised; Oria builds it again instead.

Oria returns the PDF preview and the final .pptx as download links in the chat. Click the link to download the file through your browser. The links are private to you and only stay valid for a limited time, so save the file once it's ready. The .pptx is fully editable, with native shapes, text boxes and charts.

Generating, revising and exporting slides use tokens from your Oria balance. When it runs out, Oria stops and tells Claude the slides weren't generated. Ask Claude "What's my Oria token balance?" to check (this costs no tokens), and manage your plan and balance in your Oria account at account.oria.one. See Billing and usage.

Yes. Oria styles every deck with your active style (a reference set of slide colours, a style brief and reference designs). Ask Claude to set up a style from your own deck and it gives you a private upload link. Open it in your browser and upload a PowerPoint, a PDF or images: files can't be sent to Oria through the chat. You review the extracted style on that page before it's saved. To edit a style you already have, ask Claude to open your style gallery.

Adding your own MCP server depends on your ChatGPT plan and, in a workspace, on your admin's settings. Check OpenAI's current setup guidance, or ask your workspace admin. Full walkthrough: Connect to ChatGPT.

ChatGPT keeps the list of tools it saw when you connected. Refresh Oria's tool list in ChatGPT's settings, or remove Oria and add it again with the URL https://api.oria.one/mcp. Your saved styles and balance aren't affected.

Yes. Both connect to the same server address and sign in with the same email, so your styles and balance are shared.
