What happens to your content when Oria builds or edits a deck
We don't train on your content
Oria does not use your prompts, slides, reference materials or other content to train AI models. This is written into our Terms of Use and applies on every plan. We use your content only to provide and support Oria, as our Terms of Use describe.
What leaves your device
In PowerPoint
When you run Oria on a slide, the add-in reads that slide: its text, the position of each element and a screenshot of it, plus any reference designs, prompts or files you add. It sends these to Oria's servers over HTTPS. The add-in doesn't read other files on your computer.
In Claude
When Claude uses Oria, it sends Oria what the task needs, such as the deck outline, slide text, data and your instructions. Oria receives the content of those requests, not your whole conversation. Your chat itself is handled by Anthropic under your Claude account.
Brand files
To capture your company style, you upload PowerPoint, PDF or image files. Files you upload on Oria's style setup page, the one Claude links you to, are converted into page images inside an isolated sandbox with no network access. Oria then analyzes those page images to build your style.
How processing works
Oria uses third-party AI providers to design and rebuild your slides. Each step sends a provider the content that step works on:

How it works:
- Providers process your content to return a result to Oria, which turns it into editable slides
- Oria's commitment not to train on your content covers Oria's own use
- Each provider's handling of the data it receives is governed by its own terms and privacy documentation, and we configure these services in line with that documentation where it's available to us
- Oria's servers remove working files on a schedule, and how long Oria keeps your content depends on your plan (see Data storage)
Generated files
- Previews: slide previews you see while you work are temporary working files
- Inserted slides: slides you insert with the add-in go straight into your presentation, which stays on your device or in your own storage
- Exported decks: PowerPoint files you export are stored privately, reached through download links that expire, and deleted automatically after 7 days, so download them if you want to keep them
- Saved styles: styles and reference designs you save stay in your account until you delete them or your account ends
Processing control
You control what Oria processes:
- Choose what you share: Oria only processes the slides you run it on and the content you or Claude send to it
- Choose your plan: on Professional and Team, Oria doesn't keep your presentation content after your slides are delivered
- Delete styles: delete your saved styles at any time from the add-in or by asking Claude
- Disconnect: remove the Oria connector in Claude, or remove the add-in from PowerPoint, at any time
- Make a request: ask for a copy of your personal information or for its deletion using the contact details in our Privacy Policy
